Mr. William Jones 'Bill Wagoner

Mr. William Jones ""Bill"" Wagoner, 88, a resident of the Brookridge Community, Winston-Salem, NC., passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013. Mr. Wagoner was born December 27, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Sanford Jones Wagoner and Ina Ireland Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner was a US Veteran of WWII, serving in the US Air Force. He was formerly a member of First on Fifth Baptist Church and more recently a member of Walkertown Baptist Church. He was retired from AT@T and served as a President of the AT@T Pioneers of America. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Hutchens Wagoner, and a sister, Barbara Miller, Surviving to cherish his memory are two sons; Rev. Philip M. (Janice) Wagoner of Winston-Salem, David K. (Sherry) Wagoner of Mint Hill, NC, four grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Wagoner, Matt (Erin) Wagoner, Morgan (Garrett) Olin, Megan (Jeremy) Belote, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters; Nell W. Lawson of Winston-Salem, Grace W. Downs of Pfafftown, NC., Betty W. (Thurmond) Livengood of Winston-Salem, and a brother, John Q. (Sharon) Wagoner of Winston-Salem, NC. A Graveside Service will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by Rev. Philip M, Wagoner.
