Mr. Wendell Howard Marion

Mr. Wendell Howard Marion, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Regency Care in Clemmons. He was born May 31, 1928 in Surry County to Jack and Maude Shores Marion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Marion; a brother, Foyster Marion; and a sister, Bertha Lyons. Surviving are one daughter, Sandi Woodward (George); one son, Rick Marion; one grandson, Derek Marion; Rita Bennett who was like a second daughter; one brother, Jimmie L. Marion (JoAnne); one sister, Ruth McCollum; a special niece, Judy Haige; and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Pat Marion officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
