Mr. Thomas Courtney McDowell III

WINSTON SALEM - Mr. Thomas Courtney McDowell III, 57 died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Thomas was born on April 29, 1955 in Forsyth County to Thomas Courtney McDowell Jr. and Lillian Charlene Miller McDowell. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Donna McDowell; two daughters, Kari Black (husband, Ken) of Winston GA and Amanda McDowell of West Palm Beach FL; five grandchildren, Daniel, Courtney, Adam, Amanda and Patrick; two brothers, Joe McDowell (Lynell) and Chris McDowell (Anne), a sister, Janie Yarborough ( Ken) and a very special canine friend, Deacon. A memorial service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Wes McCloud officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
