Mr. Paul Daniel Wise

Paul Daniel Wise, son of John and Zuzana Wise was born on September 26, 1932 in Morrell, Pa. His earthly journey ended on December 29, 2012. After graduating from Uniontown (Pa) High School, Paul went to Cleveland, Ohio to live with an aunt and find work. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Paul received a BA degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, an MA from Case-Western University and also attended John Carroll University, Lehigh University and Kent State University. Before retiring, Paul was a teacher, assistant principal, high school principal and assistant to the superintendent in the Lakewood, Berea and North Olmsted schools in Ohio. He was also very involved in community and service organizations. Paul and his family moved to North Carolina in 1984 where he attended Greensboro College and received a BA degree. He then worked for Womble, Carlyle, Sandrich and Rice as a legal administrator. He also taught at Davidson Community College and Forsyth Tech Community College. Paul was a very active member of the Clemmons community and Clemmons United Methodist Church holding many leadership positions in both. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy; daughter Lisa Lengen and her husband John, granddaughter Faith Lengen, of Avon Lake, Ohio; son Danny of Raleigh, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Mike Zagursky of Parma, Ohio; brother Timothy of Arlington, VA; sister-in-law, Joyce Wise of Springfield, MO; and his 'special angel in street clothes', Larry Wobker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at Clemmons United Methodist Church at 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2013. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Clemmons United Methodist Church, Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, or Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
