Mr. Loren Wallace Andrews

Mr. Loren Wallace Andrews, 51, of Yadkinville, NC passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. Loren was born October 14, 1960 in Pompano Beach, Florida to Carlos Wallace and Jeanette Robertson Andrews. He was a Proud Patriot, who served his country in the US Marine Corp for over 18 years as a Staff Sergeant, Mechanical Technician, seeing action in the First Desert Storm. Loren was assistant Den Master of Scout Troop Pack 683. His passion in life was his grandchildren, who he called every day and doted on constantly. He loved working in his Vegetable and Rose Gardens. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Robertson Andrews. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of seven years, Dorothy Harding Andrews of the home, his children; Loren (Jennifer) Andrews, Terri (Patrick) Costello, Leslie (John) Andrews, Jarrod Martiere and Jessica Martiere, 9 grandchildren, who loved their Paw Paw, mother, Jeanette Robertson Andrews,Step father, Gordon Mills, sister, Elizabeth (Bill) Witmer and brother, Lee (Karen) Andrews. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Lee Strange. Mr. Andrews will lie in state from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at Trinity United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Old Hickory Council, 6600 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Andrews Family.
