Mr. Jewel O'Lester Reich, 92, of Lewisville passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 at his home. He was born June 23, 1916 in Forsyth County to Fred and Margaret Black Reich. Mr. Reich enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved animals, farming, and working in his machine shop. He was retired from D.D. Bean Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Lillian Pilcher Reich. Surviving are one son, Harold Conway Reich; three daughters, Shirley Ann Hall (Will), Kay Roberts (Jerry), and Faye Lawson (Mike); eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a special caregiver, Diane Parks; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3rd at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Ken Bradstock officiating. Burial will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
