Mr. Hubert Cornelius 'Bob' Brewer, Jr.

BREWER Mr. Hubert Cornelius ""Bob"" Brewer, Jr., 88, of Yadkinville died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Yadkin Nursing Center. He was born March 5, 1923 in Forsyth County, the son of the late Hubert Cornelius Brewer, Sr. and Peggy Brewer. Mr. Brewer graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School and attended Yale University. He served with the US Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Western Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Ireland Brewer. Survivors include his son, Mike Brewer and wife, Catherine of Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughter, Terry Gilliam of Pine Hall, NC and five grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
