Mr. Guy Henry Foster

Mr. Guy Henry Foster, 89 of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born March 11, 1923 in Wilkes County, NC to the late Thomas and Zora Patrick Foster. Mr. Foster served in the US Army during WWII where he met his wife while serving in Liverpool, England. Mr. Foster had retired from AT&T after 38 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Burton Foster and one son, David James Foster. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Foster of Winston-Salem; three sons, Brian Foster and wife Bobbi of King; Jeff Foster and wife Robin of Lexington and Mike Foster and wife Lisa of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Scott, Tina, Tiffany, Ashley, Dustin and Kevin and three great grandchildren, Kayla, Madison and Gavin Guy. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, September 10, 2012 at Konnoak Baptist Church by Rev. John Bishop. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
