Winston-SalemMr. Evander Burns Bullock, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1932 in Lumberton, NC to the late William Thomas and Mattie Ward Bullock. He was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church. Mr. Bullock graduated from Spartanburg Jr. College, High Point College, Duke University, and Appalachian St. He was a minister for several years before retiring as a teacher with the W-S Forsyth County Schools. He was known as ""Mr. B"" to all his students. Mr. Bullock never met a stranger; he was always very friendly to everyone he met. His interests include history, philosophy, Duke Basketball, and Atlanta Braves baseball. Preceding him in death was his wife, Peggy Singleton Bullock; two sisters, Mary Ella Cotton and Hilda Daisy Lemmon; and two brothers, W.T. Bullock, Jr. and J.W. Bullock. Surviving are three daughters, Tammy Prine (Jerry), Cindy Bullock Lamkin, and Nancy Paynter (Charles); three grandsons, Billy Ward Lamkin, Nicholas Henry Lamkin, and Walton O'neal Lamkin; brother, Bob Bullock (Janice); also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Ardmore United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Haynes, Rev. John Burton, and Rev. Lisa Tanico officiating.
