Mr. Eugene Clinton Sapp, Sr.

Mr. Eugene Clinton Sapp, Sr., 76, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008. He was born in Forsyth County on March 13, 1932 to the late James Walter and Sarah Mounce Sapp. Mr. Sapp was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with several years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceding him in death was a son, Gene Sapp; two sisters and a brother. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Sapp; five children, Debbie Fulk (Mark), Gail Smith (Mike), Becky Smith (Robert), Sabrina Sapp, and Jerry Bryant; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Luther Saunders and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Comer officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Pap, we will sorely miss your call each year to sing happy birthday to each of us. You were the best! We love you!
