Mr. Charalambos Tsatsaronis, 97 of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was born on February 10, 1915 in Marathia, Evrytanias, Greece. Charalambos was always a kind and gentle man, sharing his love with family, friends and acquaintances. He had a great passion for his faith, family and history and will be remembered for always sharing life lessons and stories. Charalambos was the oldest of ten children. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Demetrios Tsatsaronis, Aspasia Granitsa, Lemonia Nicolopoulos and George Tsatsaronis. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Maria; his daughter Penelope Ballas and husband Johnny; his son Kostas Tsatsaronis and wife Litsa; grandchildren, Georgia Barlas and husband Peter, Maria Ballas, Sammy Ballas and wife Spirithoula, Maria Tsatsaronis, Bobby Tsatsaronis and Pelagia Tsatsaronis.; great grandchildren, Giannis Barlass and Constantine Barlas. siblings, Yiannis Tsatsaronis, Seraphim Tsatsaronis, Fotini Economou, Efthalia Tsetsos and Aliki Ramos. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at The Annunciation of the Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to The Annunciation of the Greek Orthodox Church or to the Greek Orthodox Monastery Building Fund, 404 Warner Rd., Troy, NC 27371.
