Mozelle Jones

Mozelle Parrish Jones, 94, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on March 27, 1923 in Guilford County to the late Giddeon and Mary Garner Parrish. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Stokesdale School. She worked as a seamstress for most of her life and was a member of Advent Moravian Church. Mrs. Jones was a great cook and she enjoyed taking care of her garden and canning vegetables. Most of all, she loved and cared for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Holland Jones; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons: David Jones and wife Pam of Concord, and Ronnie Jones and wife Faye of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Dr. Tim Sapp officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Advent Moravian Church, 1514 West Clemmonsville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
