Monica Nicole Watson

Ms. Monica Nicole Watson, 33, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1976 in Columbia, SC to Johnny Morrow and Barbara Jones. Ms. Watson was a member of St. Peters Church and World Outreach Center for the past 3 years, and was employed with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She enjoyed reading, loved her children, and was active in her community until her declining health. She was preceded in death by her son, Darrius. Surviving are one daughter, Gabrielle; two sons, Tennyson, Jr. and Cameron, all of the home; her mother, Barbara Jones and her loving husband Roderick of Winston-Salem; her father, Johnny Morrow and wife Jo of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Frederick Watson and wife Alice of Raleigh, Carlos Watson and fiance', Leonysia Webster, both of Austin, TX; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 6 at St. Peter's Outreach with Bishop James Hash officiating.
