Mitchell "Mitch" Crawford

Kernersville – Mr. Mitchell “Mitch” Allen Crawford, 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1965 in Alabama to Malcom Wayne and Patsy Larson Crawford. Mitch had family that was from Texas and he was very proud of those roots. He loved America as well as motorcycles. Mitch was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, Mitch was preceded in death by his nephew, Mason “Hambone” Hunter.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Refaye Crawford; two daughters, Hope Vitale (Richard) and Michelle Bailey (Dale) as well as two nephews who were like sons, Grant and Taylor Gilbert; six grandchildren, Josie, Veira, Thomas “Bubby”, Destiny, Amber, and Laila; his mother, Patsy Crawford; five siblings, Wayne Crawford (Tori), Brad Crawford, Debbie Cornatzer, Penny Bottoms, and Shauna Hunter (Brad),; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
