Mr. Mitchell David Walters, 33, of Lexington passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Mitch was born March 20, 1981 in Forsyth County. He worked as a Foreman for Groom's Irrigation and Landscaping in Oklahoma City, where he made many friends. He loved to play guitar and enjoyed fishing. Mitch was always a jokester, and was great at doing imitations of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Walters, Willie Foster Hunt and Charles Childress, Sr.; uncle, Charles Childress, Jr., and grandmother, Phyllis Childress.
Mitch is survived by his parents, David Walters and Patricia Childress Walters; brother, Jeffery ""Mikey"" Walters and his wife Julie and their children, Cale and Shelby; grandparents, Glenda Hunt and L.C. and Emogene Hayes; aunt, Angel Hunt; uncles, Wayne Childress, Beau Childress and his wife Jenae, and Danny Walters; fiancée, Lori Flynn and her daughter, Teagan Leinbach, who held a special place in Mitch's heart; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and family members.
A celebration of Mitch's life will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
