Minnie Lee Whisenant Pack passed peacefully in her sleep at Regency Care Facility in Clemmons, NC Saturday March 7, 2015. She was 91 wonderful years old. Her parents were Robert and Hallie Whisenant of Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Pack. She resided in Advance, North Carolina. She was retired from Western Electric on Old Lexington Road in Winston-Salem N.C. She is survived by three sisters. Kathleen Dalrymple, Lucille Reich and JoAnn Long. She was preceded in death by a sister Mae Yacura and a brother James D. ""Satch"" Whisenant. She has one son David Black and his wife; two granddaughters and two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two stepdaughters and their family. She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful athlete and spirited competitor. She enjoyed the Smoky Mountains and the beaches. She was a beautiful woman who won the Miss Lexington Beauty Pageant at 19 years old. She loved flowers, traveling and a good game of chance. She loved family and friends and always had a great joke or a good story. She loved a good whisper and a mischievous wink. Her laughter and humor were infectious. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. A private family inurnment will be held Thursday at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
