HUTCHINS Minnie Rea Cornatzer Hutchins, 88, of Clemmons died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Minnie Rea was born in Davie County on April 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Roy Lee Cornatzer, Sr. and Mamie Beauchamp Cornatzer. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She enjoyed reading her Bible, and visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prior to her declining health, she enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Allen Hutchins; and one brother, Chester Mackinley Cornatzer. Survivors are two sons, Allen James (Faye) Hutchins, and Charles Irvin (Brenda) Hutchins; four grandchildren, Todd (Angie) Hutchins, and their four sons (Jacob, Ty, Mark & Liam), Lori (Jeff) Watson and their three sons (Noah, Cooper and Zach) all of Clemmons, Wendy (Timothy) King and their two children (Daniel, Emma, and one on the way), and Jay (Lori) Hutchins and one son (Colt) all of Mocksville; a sister, Madeline Styers of Jonesville; two brothers, Roy Lee Cornatzer of Clemmons, and Jerry Wayne Cornatzer of East Bend; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
