Minnie Viola Johnson Anderson

Mrs. Minnie Viola Anderson 95, of Winston- Salem passed away on October 24, 2023, at Piedmont Hills Center for Rehabilitation. Mrs. Anderson was born on March 6, 1928, to the late Thomas Cicero and Hattie Gertrude Hayes Johnson. Minnie was known as a wonderful mama and granny. She was a member and faithful servant of Calvary Baptist Church/Cedardale Baptist Church for 40 years. Minnie enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends, and each year attended the Quartet Convention which held a special place in her heart. Left to cherish all her precious memories are her daughters, Patsy Goforth, Phyllis Carter (Don), Vickie Callahan (Kenny), Melinda Mobley (Claude), and Lisa Wilson. Minnie had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Wigg” Anderson; three sons, Robert “Bob” Anderson, Steve Anderson, and Thomas “Wigg” Anderson as well as her siblings. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Anderson at 1:00pm on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Edgewood Baptist Church with Brother Robert Brown (Susan) officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lisa’s House, at 3916 Overdale Road Winston-Salem NC, 27107, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Everyone who knew Minnie loved her and she loved them right back. There will be many precious memories that are left behind, she will be missed by all.
