Mrs. Millie Mealor Tate, 93, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Adams Farm Living and Rehabilitation Center in Jamestown, NC. She was born on November 24, 1916 in Winder, GA, a daughter of James Howard and Doshie Seagraves Mealor. Mrs. Tate was a longtime resident of Winston-Salem and a member of Ardmore Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, a son James ""Jimmy"", a daughter-in-law, Linda; sisters, Lillian, Evelyn, Myra Nina, and Jimmie. Mrs. Tate is survived by her son Walter and wife Cynthia of Clemmons; a daughter Cindy Benson of Greensboro; daughter-in-law Rosemary Tate; grandchildren Michael Tate, Kevin Benson, Misty Martin, Kimberly Tate, Ashley Tate, Adam Tate, Jessica Tate, and Jonathan Tate; great grandchildren, Madison, Lavone and Alexys; a sister Carrie Spinelli of Bonita, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 1, 2010 at Ardmore Baptist Church with the Rev. Ty Talton officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Ardmore Baptist Church, 501 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
