Mildred Shields Robertson

HIGH POINT-Mildred Shields Robertson, 91, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. She was born January 15, 1924 in Guilford Co. to the late Wesley Virgil and Annie Ingram Shields. Mildred was a member of Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church. She was a very loving and caring person and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Robertson; daughter, Polly McGee; four brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Spencer; grandchildren, Chris, Todd and Troy Spencer and Hank McGee; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verlee Underwood and Mary Ann Minery; a brother, Wade Shields; and a very special friend and caregiver, Dawn Stewart.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Drew Hellams and Rev. Elise Brown Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
