Mildred Ann Presnell Miller

MILLER - GERMANTON
Mrs. Mildred Ann Miller, 81, of Germanton, North Carolina, left her worn, earthly body to meet her Lord on February 28, 2015. Mildred was born in Granite Falls, North Carolina to the late Walter and Edith Presnell on March 23, 1933. She prided herself in being a full time wife, mother, and grandmother. She took such pride making sure that her home was a happy home filled with love, good meals, and plenty of spoiling. Everyone knew that her first love was her Lord, then her selfless husband, and then all of her babies.
Mildred loved to garden, can, and take care of feeding the birds. There was never a Monday night lacking in a full spread on her dinner table. Mildred was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class until her dementia made it where she was unable to attend. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by numerous siblings including a special brother, Johnny Presnell; two grandsons, Aaron Williams and Jonathan Harmon.

Mildred is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Brion Trent Miller of Germanton; her son Allen Miller, of Durham; her daughter Judy and husband Gary Doub of Winston Salem; her daughter Vicky and husband Thyra Williams of Pfafftown; her son Brion and wife Jackie Miller of Sanford; her daughter Beth and husband Steve Raines of Midway; grandchildren Kevin(Jessica), Wesley(Andrea), Jeremy, Allison (Daniel), Amanda, Jeffrey, and Jacob; along with nine great grandchildren; and her sister in Christ who was always there for her, Katie King.

In accordance to Mildred's wishes, she desired her service to be just as her life was lived, simple and quiet.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Forsyth Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The service will be officiated by Rev. Tim Gammons and Rev. Vic Pyles. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to: Woodland Baptist Church Heaven's Child Class, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27106. Momma and Nana's tired, weary body has now been made whole. Her mind has been restored and she is with her Lord and loved ones who have gone before.
