Mildred was born August 5, 1918 in Orange, New Jersey, to Alice Sarah Cooper Ritter and Edward Oscar Ritter. She moved with her family from Newark to Millburn, New Jersey, in 1930, graduated from Millburn High School and married Handley Hensley ""Dick"" Dickinson on September 5, 1943 at Church of the Holy Communion in South Orange, New Jersey. Mildred lived in Millburn for over 40 years and was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and Christ Church. She worked in sales and customer relations for several employers. After Handley's death, she married Leonard Liebman and relocated to Florida. She has resided in Winston-Salem since 2002. She was a volunteer for March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Heart Fund, Hospice and other groups, but most often she was just there to provide support when it was needed.
