Mildred Hendrix King

Mildred Hendrix King, 89 of Winston Salem, passed away April,17, 2012 at Gainesville Health &Rehab Center in Gainesville, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Charles William King, her parents and a sister Vivian Hendrix Griffith Boger. Surviving are her son Army Sergeant Major Daryl Shawn King (Annette) of Woodbridge, Va. a brother George Wayne Hendrix (Jean), grandchildren Eric, Andrea Moxley, Carrie Davis, Tiana and Jill Noakes and 9 great grandchildren. Mildred was a member of Salem Baptist Church and attended South Fork Baptist Church. She was school coordinator at Salem Baptist Day School for over 25 years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Floyd Boles officiating.
