Mildred Fleming Bray

Mrs. Mildred Fleming Bray, 92, of Jamestown formerly of McLeansville passed away peacefully at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro Wednesday, November 10, 2010. She was born in Guilford County on May 31, 1918 the daughter of the late Walter C. and Mary Clark Fleming. Mrs. Bray was a lifelong member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and retired from the banking industry in 1984. Her sweet and gentle nature will be missed greatly by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Bray, her five brothers, Clark, Joseph, Harry, Jack and Dan Fleming and her two sisters, Maryette Fleming and Margaret Price. Mrs. Bray is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Scharla and Allen Browne of Jamestown, two grandsons and their wives, Scott and Kim Morris of Westfield and Kevin and Lee Morris of Jamestown, a granddaughter and her husband, Rosa and Todd Poindexter of Hohenfels, Germany. Granny Mick had seven great-grandchildren, Evan, Ellie, J.C., Clark, Lily, Kassidy, Katie and when they were around her eyes would always light up. Funeral services for Mrs. Bray will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Greensboro with Dr. John Franklin Howard and Pastor Patrick DeVane officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 -1:30 prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant U.M.C. Cemetery Fund, 5120 Burlington Rd., Greensboro, NC 27405.The family would like to thank Alice Johnson for all the love and care that was shown to Miss Micky in her time of need. We will never forget all that you have done.
