Mickey Owens

Mr. Mickey Lee Owens, 70, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2022.  Mickey was born in Surry County on June 25, 1952, to the late Frank Lee Owens and Mellie Johnson Owens.  He graduated from East Surry High School in 1971.  Mickey spent a career in road construction, specifically in the paving industry.  In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by his wife, Ronda Faye Owens; his previous wife, Marie Owens; and one brother, David Owens.  Mickey is survived by his daughter, Sharron Owens of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Isabella; two sisters, Janet Owens of King, NC and Phyllis Phillips of Pilot Mountain, NC; stepdaughter, Angela Zimmerman; and close friends, Doug and Karen Bentley.  The family will hold a private service to Celebrate Mickey’s life.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Owens.
