Mickey Turner Cornelius

Mickey Turner Cornelius, aged 75, entered into the more immediate presence of her Savior on January 30, 2013. She was a lifelong Moravian and an active member of Messiah Moravian Church until health issues arose that limited her attendance. She always enjoyed her membership in the Jingle Belles (an ornament collectors club), and did her best to attend their monthly meetings. She was always someone who worried about others more than herself, and loved her family through thick and thin. Mickey would send greeting cards religiously for birthdays, sympathy, thinking of you, and anniversaries. The family would like to express its gratitude to all of the Angels at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Wade Leroy Cornelius, sons Charles Wade Cornelius and wife Amy Warfel Cornelius, David Lee Cornelius and wife Traci Darnell Cornelius, brother H. Michael Turner of York, PA, grandson Wade Lucas Cornelius (the love of her life), her aunt and uncle Annette and James F. Furr, in-laws Faye Cornelius and Kenny and Veona Cornelius of East Bend, and Allen and Peggy Cornelius of Pilot Mtn., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry A. and Isabel V. Turner, her brother Richard A. Turner, her sister Carolyn J. Turner, and brother-in-law D.C. Cornelius. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM at Messiah Moravian Church with The Rev. Dr.Truman Dunn and The Rt. Rev. Graham H. Rights officiating. Burial will follow in God's Acre at Salem. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
