Michelle Barker Smith

Mrs. Michelle Barker Smith, 45, passed away April 7, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 19, 1963 in Bradenton, FL to Buel B. Barker, Sr. and Mary Louise Hardman Barker. Michelle was preceded in death by her father. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and was a leader of Girl Scout Troop #732 . Michelle always enjoyed doing for others without any notoriety. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Richard Dale Smith; her mother, Mary Louise Hardman Barker; a brother Buel B. Barker, Jr. and his wife Victoria and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church with Dr. Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
