Michelle Perdue

Michelle Denise Perdue, of 2782 Cole Road, passed away on January 9th, 2023, at age 55. She was a member of Cottage Street Church of Christ. Michelle never met a stranger and was devoted to her family and friends. When her dad became ill, she quit her job to care for him in the home for 11 years. She was a strong willed, spirited woman, that loved to help others whenever she could and would do so without hesitation. Michelle loved to be outside and took every opportunity to be in the sun. Her favorite companion was a Quaker parrot named Jasper. Jasper loved and protected Michelle as much as she did him. Nothing meant more to her than taking care of others but when she became ill with COPD, she had to rely on close friends to help her. The closest of those was Jimmy Chandler. They were friends for many years and Jimmy devoted himself to caring for her throughout her illness. Survivors are her mother, Gail Perdue; her brother, David Perdue; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Mike Dowell; nephew, Devin Dowell and wife Kayla; and cousin, Lisa Queen, that always tried to guide and protect her. Michelle was loved more than she could imagine and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. Jerry Williams and Mr. Jerry Nifong officiating.
