Michael Dean Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 56.
Mike was born March 30, 1965, in Waukesha, WI to Dean and Barbara Anderson, the third and youngest of three children. He met the love of his life, Kimberly Raasch and soon after were married at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha, WI on August 28, 1991, by Pastor James Wilch. After they married, they traveled the United States seeking the perfect place to settle down. They decided to make their home in North Carolina, where they raised their two amazing children, Caleb and Alex. Mike was a hard-working family man employed by Outdoor Image of Duluth, GA. Mike had a sense of humor that lit up a room; he made everyone laugh and had the ability to befriend anyone. He had many passions in life being an avid fisherman and enjoyed his Canada trips. As a musician and a member of the band Punk Floyd Project, he loved to bring people together with music. Mike also was a huge Packers fan, watching their games from a distance but always behind his team! He truly was that down to earth, larger than life kind of man who lived life every day.
Mike is survived by his wife Kim, and their children Caleb and Alex. Sister and brother-in-law Donna and Thomas Leamy, Brother-in-law, Ted Noble, Parent-in-laws Roger and Audrey Raasch, Sister-in-laws Lynne Raasch and Heidi Pawlowski. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, close friend, Jeff Neibauer, and many friends and family who will deeply miss him.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Barbara Anderson, and Sister Patricia Noble.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
