Michael Vincent Yarbrough

KERNERSVILLE - Michael Vincent Yarbrough, 68, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1944 in Taylor, Florida to Henrietta L. Yarbrough and the late Roy Yarbrough. Michael was a proud graduate of the University of Florida where he received a PHD in Philosophy and a Masters in Linguistics. He most recently taught Philosophy and Southern Literature at Wake Forest University. Michael loved cycling, fishing, hiking, and gardening. In addition to his mother surviving are his wife, Kathleen Ann Sumrall Yarbrough of Kernersville; two sisters, Ruby (Bill) Barg, and Janie (Mike) Dennard all of Macclenny, FL; two nephews, Brent Dennard of Macclenny, FL, George Barg of Jacksonville, FL; one niece, Judith Perez of Colorado Springs, CO; and one sister-in-law, Shelley Biessenberger of Walkertown.
