Michael ""Mike"" Lee Sprinkle, 58, passed away March 21, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1958 in Forsyth County to Jackson Richard Sprinkle and Helen Randelman Sprinkle. Mike attended Salem Baptist Day School and graduated from North Forsyth High School. He worked for the Forsyth County School System as a locksmith for many years. His skillful talent for home improvements and fixing most anything were superseded only by his generosity and willingness to help others. Mike to some (Mikey to others) greeted the world with an earnest handshake, a tilt of the head, a cool look in the eye and a truly genuine smile. Many homes are blessed, embraced and far sturdier with the work of his skillful hands and big heart. A friend reflected ""he just made life a bit sweeter wherever he went."" He pushed past his physical adversities, worked diligently at every task and with an audacious fortitude mastered his powerful, notoriously shiny, three-wheeled, flag-flying, burnt orange Gold Wing motorcycle. He could make us laugh when we thought we shouldn't and then help build something good when we thought we wouldn't. Quite simply, he was fun to be with. Mike was preceded in death and now regroups with his father, Jack Sprinkle, as a co-worker with even greater projects. The Lord's great beyond has them back together now, problem solving in some heaven sent version of a pick-up truck, loaded with plans and tools for repairing stars. Give them time, and the dark night skies, from our vantage point, are guaranteed to be brighter, and just as they would have it- the path ahead. Mike is survived by his loving and gracious mother, Helen Sprinkle, many cousins, and a very dear friend, Tony Kreeger. A memorial service for Mike will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Dr. Karl Minor officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. The family graciously asks that they receive no flowers but encourage others to make a donations to the charity of their choice in honor of Mike's memory.
