Michael Rowe

Michael Wayne Rowe, 59, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, after a long illness. He made his tiny impact on this world on July 4, 1963, and left a huge impact on all of those who knew and loved him. He was born to Jerry Herman Rowe and the late Viola Permelia Speas Rowe.

Many things brought joy to his life especially spending time with his wife, fur babies, family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, dining out and antique shopping with his wife, snowy days, coffee and coffeehouses, all genres of music, cooking all types of food, going to the movies, playing video games and paintball with his Lostboyz teammates. One of his most favorite past times, was watching his beloved Carolina Tarheels play basketball.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his stepmother, Judith Bellamy Rowe. Michael is survived by his father, Jerry Rowe; loving wife, Carla Hicks Rowe; sister, Melissa Westendorff (Martin); two nephews, Eric and Karl Westendorff; numerous other family members; and his four-legged family Winston, Sammie, Mollie and Milo.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Tom Clocker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 5th at Mizpah Moravian Church.
