Michael Marion

Michael Steven Marion, 69 was surrounded with his loving family when the Lord decided his work was finished on earth and He called him home to him on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Mike was born in Surry County on February 22, 1954. Mike was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him.  He was always a cut-up and liked to joke and make people laugh.  He was a big fan of the Carolina Tarheels and loved to watch them play.  Family was important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his relatives especially if food was included. He was preceded in death by his son-Kasey Castro Marion. 

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cathy Marion; sister -Brenda Buffaloe; brother & sister in law- Wade & Libby Marion; sister & brother in law-Patricia and Michael Crews; brother & sister in law-Ken & Mitzi Marion; brother in law Joey Gantt and multiple nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Charlie Kahn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
