Michael ""Sweats"" Douglas Lance, age 42, passed away Wednesday April 1st. Mike was born October 27, 1966 to Fred and Rose Marie Jones Lance. Mike served in the US Army. Mike worked for Richard Childress Racing as a transport driver for the No. 33 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team. He had been a member of the NASCAR community for 14 years. Mike had a passion for motorcycles and was known as ""Uncle Fester"" on hondachopper.com, KZrider, and many other bike forums. Surviving are his wife Debbie Boose; stepchildren Brandon and Bailey Boose; his sister Janet Mullins; and many nephews and nieces and cousins. Honorary pall bearers are from RCR racing, Joe Gibbs racing and many other NASCAR teams Mike was associated with. A celebration of life will be held Monday at 6:30 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Forsyth Memorial Park, with Rev. Richard Payne, Team Chaplin of Richard Childress Racing officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the friends and neighbors during this difficult time.
