Michael Franklin Hamlin

High Point - Michael Franklin Hamlin, 55, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Hospice of the Piedmont. He was born in Forsyth County on August 9, 1961 to Franklin D. and Fannie Mae Smith Hamlin. Michael was a strong and loving husband, father, and brother. He was a faithful member of Trulite Baptist Church in High Point. Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Angela Hamlin; one son, Brandon Stanley (Leann); three sisters, Becky Beane (Larry), Debbie Foster (David), and Lisa Edwards; one brother, David Hamlin; and many special nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Michael will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jerry Whiteheart officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 12:15 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262 or The Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Regional Health, P.O. Box HP-5, High Point NC 27261.
