Michael Goings

Mr. Michael Cecil Goings, 53, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 28, 2022.  He was born November 27, 1968, in Forsyth County to Chester Cecil Goings and Judy Goings.  After graduating from North Davidson High School in 1986, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  Following the Navy, he went on to earn his 4th degree black belt in karate and competed and taught for Karate International for many years.  Michael was presently working as a manager at Morfab USA Inc. in High Point, NC.  He had many passions, which included watching old westerns and war movies and also stargazing through his telescope.  Michael was a born again Christian and a current member of Vienna Baptist Church in Pfafftown, NC.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Johnson (Beatrice) and his maternal grandparents, James Wall (Lucille).  In addition to his parents, Michael in survived by his loving wife, Pam Doomy Goings; two stepsons, Eric J. Doomy (Laken) and Chad A. Doomy (Brooke); and three grandsons: Skyler Doomy, Bear Doomy, and Oliver Doomy.  A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 6th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Al Doomy officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
