Michael Joseph Burton

Mr. Michael Joseph Burton, 58, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 25, 1954 in Fort Jackson, SC to Bobby J. and Joan L. Burton. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Phyllis, his daughter, Kaitlin and his parents. Michael retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He enjoyed fishing, card playing and NASCAR. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Pinedale Christian Church with Rev. Jon Hauser and Rev. Bob McCaskill officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and following the service at the home of his parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to say special thanks to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center's 5th Floor CICU and Ken Prevetet, Kathy and Tony Welch and Pat James.
