Michael Louis Burkhard

Michael Louis Burkhard, 55, died at his home on April 21, 2016. Michael was born in Forsyth County on May 13, 1960 to Elizabeth Scott and Donald Louis Burkhard. He worked for Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind for 11 years. His family will remember him as respectful, considerate, and kind. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his loving mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Carl Sawyer; one brother, Robert Burkhard, one niece, Nicole McJunkins (husband Austin), and four great-nieces, Alex, Liam, Bailey, and Preston. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
