Michael 'Mike' Edwin Beckham

Mr. Michael ""Mike"" Edwin Beckham, age 57, passed away Saturday morning, May 14, 2011 at his home in King. Mike was born May 12, 1954 in Iredell County to the late William Edwin and Hazel Louise Cook Beckham. He was of the Baptist faith and worked 33 years at Burns Aerospace in Winston-Salem. Mike was a very devoted and loving husband, father and friend. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his special grandmother, Ethel Beckham. Surviving is his wife of 20 years of marriage, Sarah Beckham of the home. His much beloved daughter, Mia Sara Sizemore of the home. Four Step-sons: Dean (Sonia) Sizemore, Darrin (Debbie) Sizemore, Derek (Kyle) Nelson and Cory. Five Step-grandchildren and a special companion and friend, Tinker. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday evening, May 19, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Dr. Jean Fromson. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
