Michael Grata, Jr.

Stokesdale – Mr. Michael Anthony Grata, Jr., 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. He was born on September 2, 1953 in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania to Michael Anthony Grata, Sr. and Josephine Czuba Grata. Michael was a family man and loved to spend time with them. He enjoyed anything that had to do with cars: driving them, working on them, or even watching them. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife, Valerie Penin Grata. He is survived by his daughter, Karey (Mark); three grandchildren, Katelyn, Adam, and Eddie; one great granddaughter, Rosalie; six siblings, Mel (Marti), Gary, Rick, Elayne, Karen (Dave), and Judy (Harry); his sister-in-law, Karen (Tom); and Mark Warkentin.

There will be no formal services at this time. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
