KERNERSVILLE-Merton Clement Lyman, Jr., 80, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. He was born January 8, 1930 in Norwich, CT to the late Selma Fredrikson Lyman and Merton Clement Lyman, Sr. Merton was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic with the Mosquito Squadron. He loved to travel, especially cruising, remembering and describing each place he visited by the wonderful food he found. He never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went. But most of all, he loved his family with every word and action. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Lois Lehman Lyman of the home; two sons, Steve Lyman and wife Jocelyn, and Doug Lyman; two daughters, Cindy and Laura Lyman; two grandchildren, Carson and Rachel.
