Melody Varner

Melody Kay Varner, 61, of Winston salem passed away Saturday November 5th 2022 at her home. She was born October 1st 1961 in Forsyth county to the late Lee Parker Hayes and Lottie Barker Hayes. Melody worked for many years in textiles for Champion and Hanes Brands, and was a wonderful, sweet person who was loved by all that knew her. She loved to work on crafts and collecting trinkets for shadow boxes.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Varner. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Elizabeth Rose Collins, her husband Jason L Collins and their daughter, Lilah Raye Collins and Melodys loving chiweenie dogs Thelma and Louise. There will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date.
