Melissa Carol Keaton

Ms. Melissa Carol Keaton, 53, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010. She was born August 12, 1956 to Carol and Bobby Gray Keaton, Sr. Ms. Keaton graduated from Parkland High School in 1974 and from Forsyth Technical Community College with a Business Degree. She was veteran of the United States Army and a member of First Assembly of God in Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her mother, Carol Hancock Boyter of Clemmons; one daughter, Lynn Keaton Shear (Randy) of Columbia, TN; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Caroline Shear, both of Columbia, TN; one sister, Peggy Sue Boyter (Rick) of Columbia, TN; one brother, Bobby Gray Keaton, Jr. (Lily) of Clemmons and nieces and nephew, John Boyter (Josie), Meagan Boyter, Journie Keaton and Charles White. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Union Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
