Melissa Ann Phillips Bodenhamer

Mrs. Melissa Ann Phillips Bodenhamer, 44, of Clemmons passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Horsehead, NY on August 13, 1967 to Ronald VanDeventer and Norma Cramer VanDeventer. Mrs. Bodenhamer was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. She loved collecting M&M figurines. Mrs. Bodenhamer faithfully wrote notes and letters to the shut-ins and convalescence. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother who loved her family dearly. Mrs. Bodenhamer was preceded in death by her mother; and two brothers, Michael VanDeventer and Brian Phillips. She is survived by a daughter, Micki Lovvorn of Clemmons; a son, Brandon Phillips of Clemmons; her father, Ronald VanDeventer and wife Lucille of Clemmons; four sisters, Michele Coalson and husband Tarron of Clemmons, Majorie Grinner and husband Billy of Elkin, Patsy Lyons and husband Kent of Winston-Salem, and Bobbie Ruth Welch and husband Brian, of KY; and two brothers, Ronald VanDeventer of Winston-Salem and David VanDeventer and wife Christy of Kentucky; and many family and friends whom she loved. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Grapevine Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Comer. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
