Melinda Anne Sapp

Miss. Melinda Anne Sapp, 43 of Rural Hall, died Monday, November 24, 2008 at her home. Miss. Sapp was born June 26, 1965 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Oliver Sapp, Jr. and the late Genevieve Tise Sapp. She attended Wake Forest University and High Point University. She loved animals, NASCAR, Duke Basketball and the Oak Ridge Boys. She is survived by her sister, Karen Noga and husband David, brother, Gregory ""Greg"" Sapp and wife Ann; nieces and nephews, Alex Davis, Nick Davis and wife Amanda, Ryan Sapp, Andrew Noga, Deborah Noga and Jillian Noga; great-nieces, Gabrielle Jarvis, Genevieve Davis and Kathleen Davis; special friends, Donna McAleer and husband Raymond, Ashley Doyle and husband Kevin and their daughter, Ayden McKenzie, (whom Melinda got to hold the day she was born which was also the day of her death), Amber Freeman and husband Jeff and their children Haley, Seth, Tristyn, and Natalee, Tina Black and husband Bill and their children Dillon and Will, and her beloved cat, Oliver. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society 61 Miller St. Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
