Meagan Sparks Drake

She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, she became an angel. Meagan Sparks Drake was born in Warren, Michigan on November 14, 1981 to Nicky Whittington. The youngest of three children, she idolized her brother and terrorized her sister for most of her short time on this earth. She was wild and crazy, subdued and contemplative. She was a force to be reckoned with who had an infectious laugh and an insatiable hunger for life and whatever was simmering on the stove. She loved animals - walking into her house was like stepping onto Noah's Ark. Word got around and homeless animals knew if they showed up on her doorstep, they'd live the rest of their days in the lap of luxury. Waiting to welcome Meagan into Heaven were her maternal grandmother, Melba Carleen Sprinkle, and her maternal grandfather, Walter Benton Sprinkle, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Scarlet Jayden Howard; her mother,Nicky Whittington; her sister, Danielle Strucinski Joyner (Tony Joyner); her brother, Jason Daniel Strucinski; four nephews, Osirus James Strucinski, Ronin Isaac Strucinski, Jackson Benton Joyner, and Raegan Paul Joyner; and one niece, Sophia Carleen Joyner; along with her four-legged children, Catch-Up, Icky, and Snuggles; and a host of friends and extended family too numerous to name. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 11,2012 at Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Wiseman officiating.. The family will receive friends Saturday March 10, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Scarlet Jayden Howard trust fund in care of Bank Of America 1209 Silas Creek Parkway Winston-Salem North Carolina 27127.
