Mattie Cornelia ""Connie"" Atwood Wilmoth, died Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born January17, 1935 to the late Gilbert L. Atwood and Jennie Edwards Atwood in Allegany Co. She was a member of Hanes Baptist Church, where she attended until her health declined. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Kyle Atwood and three sisters, Lola Mae Atwood, Lou Eva Smith and Sally Ruth Blevins. Connie was survived by her husband, John B. Wilmoth, two sons; Randy (Zina) Wilmoth and James Atwood; one daughter, Debbie (John) Brooks; four grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Tommy Atwood, New Castle, De and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Richard Walllace and Rev. Jon White officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 Pm Monday, December 28 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in care of Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home expenses. The Family would like to empress their appreciation to all the staff at Forsyth Hospital and the Hospice Home for the kindness shown during our loved one's illness
