Mattie Wilson Egleson

Walkertown - Mrs. Mattie Margaret Wilson Egleson, 85, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation. She was born January 8, 1926 in Haywood County, NC to the late Grayson and Jessie Lewis Wilson. Mrs. Egleson was a member of Kerwin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Egleson, two sons, Edwin ""Eddie"" L. Egleson, and William Robert ""Bobby"" Egleson. Surviving are; a daughter, Phyllis K (John) Southern, daughter in law, Claudette Egleson, three grandsons; Jon Marshall (Rebecca) Southern, Jason Matthew (Amber) Southern, Robert L. (Valorie) Egleson, one great granddaughter, Adelynn Elise Southern. A service will be conducted 7:00 PM Thursday evening by Dr. Joe Myers at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pickens Cemetery in Pickens, West VA Friday, August 19, 2011.
