SIMPSON - KING Matthew Evan Simpson passed away June 9, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1985 in Forsyth County the son of Patricia Frye Simpson and Ricky R. Simpson. Matthew graduated from West Stokes High School in 2001. His enjoyment in life was time spent with friends and family. He always had a kind word and smile for everyone. Matthew was preceded in death by his older brother, Ricky Simpson; maternal grandfather, Emory Frye Sr.; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Mary Simpson; and uncle, Larry Simpson. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Frye Simpson of King; father, Ricky R. Simpson (Tammy) of Lewisville; maternal grandmother, Diane G. Frye of Winston-Salem; brother, Michael G. Simpson (Jenny) of Climax; aunts and uncles: Kimberly & Derrick Anthony, Emory Frye Jr., Ray, Steve and Kay Simpson; nieces and nephews: Grayce, Ross and Kate Simpson; cousins: Brandon, Daniel (Carla), Sydney, Harrison; and extended family: Steven, Ashley and Edna Meadows. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Duncan Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove United Methodist Church on Tate Road in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be mailed to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 733 Bethania - Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
