Mr. Matthew Allen Jackson, 26, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on March 2, 1987 the son of Floyd Allen Jackson and Barbara Williams Jackson. Matthew was involved with NWFALL, Babe Ruth Baseball, Boy Scouts of America, he was also volunteer ay WFBH and a graduate of North Forsyth High School where he played football. He attended Pfafftown Baptist Church and was employed by Forsyth Co. Fire Department as a telecommunicator. From an early age, Matthew had a passion for emergency medical services and helping others. At age 16, he became the youngest certified EMT in Forsyth Co. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Elbert Earl Williams, Jr. and paternal uncle, James Richard Jackson. Matthew is survived by his parents, Floyd and Barbara Jackson of Winston-Salem, a sister, Trish Jackson of Knoxville, TN, his fiancé, Alexandria Marsh and her two children, Abby and Olivia of Kernersville, his paternal grandparents, Grady and Helen Jackson of Hope Mills, NC and maternal grandmother, Patricia Eggers and step-grandfather, Edsel Eggers of Mt. Airy and maternal great-grandmother, Mattie Inman of Mt. Airy. Matthew is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Hilda and Davis Cash of Hope Mills, NC, uncle, Earl Williams of Asheville, NC, uncle, John Williams of Mt. Airy and his great-aunt and uncle, Gayle and Jim Reeves of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Craig Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 Sunday evening, June 9, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
